Problem description
When paragraphs are directly formatted in FrameMaker (without the use of paragraph formats), so-called paragraph format overrides will occur. These overrides may cause problems in the production process and make global adjustments and format updates more difficult.
FrameMaker does not offer the option to create an overview of paragraph format overrides.
Function description
The script lists paragraph format overrides of the current document or all documents of the current book.
Requirements
- FrameMaker 6.0 or higher
- FrameScript/ElmScript 4.1 or higher
Notes
The script works with structured and unstructured documents.
The report is saved in the document folder (‘_[i]_PgfFmtOverrides.fm’).
The script Report: Format Overrides is used to create a report for all paragraph, character and table format overrides.
The script Show Paragraph Format Overrides can be used to show the format overrides of the current paragraph.
