Report: Pagination & Numbering

Problem description

Settings for pagination and numbering can be specified in documents and also book components. This may lead to conflicting settings. FrameMaker does not offer the option to display these settings for all book components.

Function description

The script creates a report with the pagination and numbering settings for all book components.

Incorrect settings in the documents or book components can thus be recognized easily.

Problematic settings are marked red in the report (e.g.number lower than in the previous document, conflicting settings in document and book).

Requirements

  • FrameMaker 6.0 or higher
  • FrameScript/ElmScript 4.1 or higher

Notes

The script works with structured and unstructured documents.

The report is saved in the book folder (‘_[i]_PaginationList.fm’).
