Problem description
When paragraphs are directly formatted in FrameMaker (without the use of formats), so-called paragraph format overrides will occur. These overrides may cause problems in the production process and make global adjustments and format updates more difficult.
When the insertion point is located in such a paragraph, FrameMaker will only indicate overrides with an asterisk that precedes the format name in the status line.
Determining which type of override it is is an extremely complicated process.
Function description
The script shows the format overrides of the current paragraph in a dialog.
When the OK button is pressed, the next paragraph that contains a format override will be displayed.
Requirements
- FrameMaker 6.0 or higher
- FrameScript/ElmScript 4.1 or higher
Notes
The script works with structured and unstructured documents.
