Remove All Conditions

Problem description

Depending on the translation process, assigned conditions can sometimes lead to problems so that conditions must be removed before the translation.

Conditions in FrameMaker can only be deleted or changed to non-conditional text in the current document. Deleting conditions over all documents of a book is not possible.

Function description

The script removes all conditions of the document.

  • Text and table rows whose condition is shown are set to ‘not conditional’.

  • Text and table rows whose condition is hidden are deleted.

Requirements

  • FrameMaker 6.0 or higher
  • FrameScript/ElmScript 4.1 or higher

Notes

The script works with structured and unstructured documents.
